Build AI Systems.
Understand What You're Doing.

Synapseed runs structured cohort programmes for developers who want to work with the open-source AI stack. We cover tooling, engineering practice, and project work — in a way that's honest about what each programme does and does not include.

What These Programmes Offer

Project-Based Structure

Each programme delivers work through defined project assignments — not just reading or watching. Participants build things that can be shown.

Code Review on Every Project

Assignments are reviewed by instructors. Feedback is specific to the code submitted, not generic.

Open-Source Stack Focus

Coverage is centred on open models and tools — the kind of stack used in real development work, not proprietary platforms.

Cohort Format

Participants progress through the programme together. This creates a shared schedule and opportunities to compare approaches on the same problems.

Written Documentation

Longer programmes include written technical summaries and reports. Writing about what you built is part of the work.

Based in Kuala Lumpur

Synapseed operates from Bangsar Baru. Cohorts run with Malaysian time zones, and the school can be reached by phone or visit.

Common Questions

What level of Python knowledge do I need before joining?
The Onboarding cohort expects that you have written some Python — loops, functions, and basic data structures. You do not need prior experience with AI libraries. The Practical Engineering and Full Developer programmes expect more than that; send an enquiry and we can assess fit.
Are the programmes conducted online or in-person?
The cohort sessions are conducted online, which means participants from anywhere in Malaysia can join. Synapseed is based in Kuala Lumpur and some optional sessions may be held on-site; this is confirmed per cohort.
How much time should I set aside each week?
The Onboarding cohort is designed for roughly 8–10 hours per week. The Practical Engineering Programme requires around 10–12 hours. The Full Developer Programme is structured as part-time at approximately 12–15 hours per week over 32 weeks.
What do I get when I finish a programme?
The Onboarding cohort includes a small portfolio repository. Longer programmes include written project summaries or a technical report. We document what participants have built; we do not make promises about employment or salary outcomes.
When does the next cohort start?
Cohort dates are confirmed once enrolment reaches a minimum number. Send an enquiry and we will share the current schedule for the programme you are interested in.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfer (Maybank, CIMB, RHB) and online payment via FPX. Invoice is issued in Malaysian Ringgit. Payment details are provided after your enrolment is confirmed.
Can I join if I am not based in Malaysia?
The programmes are designed for Malaysia time zones (MYT, UTC+8). Participants from other regions with compatible schedules have enrolled before. Payment is processed in MYR. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.
