Build AI Systems.
Understand What You're Doing.
Synapseed runs structured cohort programmes for developers who want to work with the open-source AI stack. We cover tooling, engineering practice, and project work — in a way that's honest about what each programme does and does not include.
Three Cohort Programmes
Each programme runs in cohorts with a defined schedule, code review, and project deliverables. Prices are in Malaysian Ringgit.
Python and AI Tools Onboarding
For participants who have written some Python and want to start using the contemporary open-source AI stack. Covers environment setup, working with open models locally and via APIs, two small project assignments, and weekly code review.
- Local model setup and API integration
- Two project assignments with code review
- Portfolio repository at completion
Practical AI Engineering Programme
Walks through small-team engineering practice for AI projects — version control, code review habits, working with model serving, evaluation, and reproducibility. Includes three project sprints and a final capstone.
- Three project sprints with written summaries
- Model serving and evaluation methods
- Final capstone project
Full Developer Programme
Covers the modern open-source AI development stack — model serving, transformer-based architectures, retrieval-augmented systems, evaluation, and small-team engineering practices. Four large project sprints and a final capstone with a written technical report.
- Transformer architectures and RAG systems
- Four large project sprints with code review
- Written technical report at capstone
What These Programmes Offer
Project-Based Structure
Each programme delivers work through defined project assignments — not just reading or watching. Participants build things that can be shown.
Code Review on Every Project
Assignments are reviewed by instructors. Feedback is specific to the code submitted, not generic.
Open-Source Stack Focus
Coverage is centred on open models and tools — the kind of stack used in real development work, not proprietary platforms.
Cohort Format
Participants progress through the programme together. This creates a shared schedule and opportunities to compare approaches on the same problems.
Written Documentation
Longer programmes include written technical summaries and reports. Writing about what you built is part of the work.
Based in Kuala Lumpur
Synapseed operates from Bangsar Baru. Cohorts run with Malaysian time zones, and the school can be reached by phone or visit.
